Strikers / Toni Duggan

Biography

Born and raised in Liverpool, Toni is one of the brightest young talents in women’s football.

She joined the Everton Centre of Excellence aged 11 and made her debut for Everton in Europe at just 15 years old.

The 2007/08 season saw the striker come of age with a number of eye-catching performances for Everton following injuries to the regular strikers.

Duggan scored the winning goal in the League Cup semi-final against Watford. The youngster sensationally netted late in extra-time to earn a mouth-watering showdown with Arsenal.

Towards the tail end of the season, Toni became a regular in Mo Marley's starting XI, forming a three-pronged attack with Jody Handley and Natasha Dowie.

Toni has represented England at Under-20, Under-19 and Under-23 levels, and has already made over 30 appearances for her homeland.

She played an integral part in the Blues' 2010 FA Women's Cup victory over Arsenal and featured heavily in the 2010/11 Women's Champions League campaign.

In 2009 on her 18th birthday she scored the opening goal in England's UEFA Women’s under-19 Championship final win against Sweden.

Duggan made her debut for the senior team in England’s 3-0victory over Croatia at Walsall’s Bescot Stadium in September 2012 and has since made four appearances, scoring two goals in five games.
