Team GB midfielder wants maximum points from Olympic group stage.
Buoyant Jill Scott wants to down Brazil after enjoying a magical Olympic moment.
Scott scored Team GB’s second goal in a 3-0 weekend win over Cameroon at the weekend.
GB are through to the quarter finals, meaning Tuesday’s clash with Brazil is a straight fight to top the group.
“Our first aim was to get out of the group and, with six points from the first two games, we have secured that now,” said the Everton Ladies midfielder.
“But we don’t want to rest on our laurels. We will go into the Brazil game looking to gather some momentum going into the quarter-final.”
Brazil are seen by many as being an even better side than their fifth-place Fifa ranking would suggest but Scott is hoping that a packed Wembley crowd can boost GB’s chances.
“It will be a difficult game but all the girls are looking forward to it especially with it being at Wembley,” she declared.
“There is going to be a massive crowd there but we’ve got a real confidence and belief in the squad and we’ll be looking for another three points.”
