Five of Mo Marley's Everton Ladies have been selected in the England Under-23s squad for the forthcoming La Manga tournament.
Fern Whelan, Michelle Hinnigan, Brooke Chaplen, Toni Duggan and Natasha Dowie have all been called-up to the 18-woman party and will travel to Spain for the competition later this month.
The Three Lions will face USA, Sweden and Norway in the four-nation tournament, taking on the Norwegians in their opening game on February 25.
Brent Hills' side will then play USA two day's later, before taking on Sweden in their final fixture on March 1.
The friendly tournament will give the youngsters the opportunity to impress the England coaches in a bid to make the step up to the senior squad in time for this summer’s Women's World Cup in Germany.
The inaugural FA Women’s Super League doesn’t begin until mid-April and the La Manga tournament will offer valuable competitive action for the Blues ahead of their Women's Champions League quarter-final clash with FCR 2001 Duisberg in March.
