Spence praises pair as Kane and Chaplen leave Blues.
The reshaping of Everton Ladies' squad has begun with the news that midfielders Amy Kane and Brooke Chaplen have departed the club at the conclusion of their contracts.
Following the completion of her studies, Kane has taken the decision to focus on her work career, while Chaplen spent four years with the Blues after signing from Chelsea ahead of the 2009/10 campaign.
Boss Andy Spence has offered his thanks to the pair and wished them luck in their future careers.
"When we sat down and discussed where Amy wanted to go and where we wanted to go as a club it was a very easy conversation," said Spence.
"Amy is looking at her career; she has just come out of university and done really well in terms of her education so she wants to make sure she forges a really good career for herself and I'm fully supportive of that.
"I can only thank Amy for all the years of dedication to Everton. I've said to her, in my eyes, we will always see her as an Everton player and it'll be nice to think possibly somewhere down the line we can see her within the club using her qualifications that she has acquired to maybe help with one of the club's programmes.
"Obviously everyone at the club wishes Brooke the very best in terms of her next move. She is certainly someone who given Everton a lot and has always shown a good levels of ability and certainly contributed last season and worked hard to help the team.
"It's always a difficult one when someone has been at the club for a number of years but we very much wish her the very best. I'm sure she?ll find herself playing back in WSL football at some level very soon.
"Everyone at the club - players, former players, all the staff and I'm sure the fans - will join me in wishing Amy and Brooke the very best for the future."
