Natasha Dowie and Fara Williams on target in 2-1 win over Birmingham.
Everton Ladies recorded an excellent 2-1 away win over Birmingham on Sunday.
The Toffees worked a two goal advantage but had to weather a late Birmingham storm which saw them pull a goal back and ensured a nervy end to the game.
Natasha Dowie was on target for Everton’s opener, heading in after 32 minutes.
Ex-Everton midfielder Emily Westwood had an effort tipped on to the bar for Brum moments before the break.
But in the second half Fara Williams doubled Everton’s advantage and a huge away win looked on the cards for Mo Marley’s side.
Birmingham’s Jodie Taylor had other ideas and she made sure of a dramatic finish by netting with five minutes of normal time left.
There were five minutes of injury time as well but Everton stood firm and picked up three vital points.
